About Our Workshops

Mindful Resilience through Didge-Breathing Workshops
The workshop invites participants to focus on their own rhythmic breathing patterns to teach the awareness of the relationship breathing has on the mind and body. The key aim of the workshop is to introduce breathing techniques participants can introduce to their daily habit to help improve day-to-day mental strain. As we improve our self awareness, we become more available to help others.
Challenging participants to try new things. Participants learn first-hand how the body builds new neural pathways when learning.
The program actively involves teaching the process of “circular breathing”, a technique of playing the instrument continuously without stopping to breathe. This requires participants to work on breathing techniques not normally utilised in day-to-day breathing.
The participants work in a group supported by a trained facilitator. They work together in a team environment to discover the difficulty involved in learning new skills.
Participants are encouraged to think of moments in their day where they utilise breathing techniques subconsciously, for example, exercise, yawning, concentrating, listening, sleeping, getting angry or upset.
As participants learn different breathing rhythms they learn about the
chemistry of the behaviour. Teaching that the sympathetic nervous system and cardiovascular system is directly related to breathing. Manual changing of breathing patterns results in measurable differences in both systems.
The workshop focuses on deep breathe oxygenation of the lungs. It refers briefly to common breathing issues such as sleep apnoea , hyperventilation or shallow breathing, resulting in an increase in carbon dioxide and reduction in oxygen.
Creative Calm uses controlled breathing techniques that allow participants to be aware of and improve oxygen levels in their body. This will increase mind function and alertness (mindfulness) lower stress levels and can contribute to calming the cardiovascular system.

Adults: $40.00* per person ( 1.5hrs)
Students over 12- $25.00 per person
Children Under 12- $15.00 per person

School packages include 5 period length sessions per day from $800.00 per day
​
Large Groups of Adults over 30 people $35.00 per person.
*min 20 people for a 1.5 hour adult session.
